Grace Truth and History |
Freedom.
Powerful word, isn't it? Human rights. Two more powerful words. We'll work, fight, and even die for
them. Social engineering. Another pair of words, equally powerful, yet
not quite as well known and understood. To revise Pogo's
statement, "We have met the enemy, and he is '" social engineering." Social engineering
is malignant and deadly, and destroys freedom and human rights. For many years,
it has been being done right before our very blind eyes. From education,
entertainment, business, government, and most of all from religion, our
thinking has been being molded and shaped by two words which are constantly
thrust at us— Love and Unity. A common term for it today is political
correctness. We are constantly being told to sacrifice our convictions to these
two words.
The two words truth and history are
now considered to be obscene language. Moral integrity has become a dirty
little term. Moral values is an extremely filthy term.
Yet the very word moral is deeply imbedded in every single law in this country!
To avoid offence, we must say "family values." And the term "spiritual values"
warrants the death penalty! Death to freedom of speech and conscience!
Our hypocrisy screams at us, yet
we are deaf. Our inconsistencies reek, yet they are unnoticed. Our failures are
obvious, yet we are blind to them. Our jails and prisons are stuffed. Our
courts, hospitals, mental institutions, treatment centers, long-term healthcare
facilities, offices of psychology, of psychiatry are full every day.
Governmental agencies for social help are inundated with people seeking help,
at a cost of billions each year, yet our problems grow worse.
For many years, powerful forces have
been distracting us from the real menace. Our minds have been programmed to
chase the "American Dream." Pleasure has become our lesser god. Our
supreme deity has become Self. Our prosperity abounded and intensified our
pride, which led us away to the worship of these two false gods. Our lofty
opinions have become law. Our unofficial state religion is now humanism. Both
secular humanism, and "Christian existential" humanism! Our entire
lives are consumed in a frantic quest for pleasure. We are madly in love with
it in all its many forms. We spend more money on pleasure than any nation in
history. Certainly we work, but only to play. For nearly a hundred years
entertainment has been enslaving us, killing us, and burying us. That's
entertainment!
Factual history is out! Fabricated
history is in! In our schools! In the textbooks! Once again, Hegel's statement
has been proved correct, "History proves that man learns nothing from
history." The suppression and burial of truth is nothing new. It has been
done many times in the last two thousand years. It is one of the most heinous and
costly crimes in history. It is done deliberately to control the masses. It is
oppression: the unjust and cruel exercise of power and authority (Webster's
dictionary). Yet today, the average citizen is oblivious to the fact that it is
being done. History happens every day. It is a reality. To lie about it is
deadly.
Reality is truth. Absolute truth!
Try crossing the freeway at seventy into full lanes of opposing traffic.
Reality takes place. Jump from a plane with no parachute. Absolute truth will
happen. You're history! Truth is not subjective, yet for centuries we have been
taught that it is. Having been fed this deadly, deceptive, delightful diet for
so long, we have become gods— the only God there is. Our minds create truth. Subjective truth. Truth is how We
see it. So, we are free. We are accountable to no one. There is no authority
but our own.
Is there not just a faint glimmer
of lawlessness here? Just maybe a ray of light upon the
source of lawlessness and violence occurring in the world each day? Does
there not slip into our minds even a tiny glimpse of reality?
Some of us
who are old enough, honest enough, believe that we can see it. The attitude,
the mood of society is far different than it was fifty years ago. Today subtle,
seething, ever-increasing hostility is in the air. Atrocious acts of violence
have become commonplace. No one, it seems, feels safe. Fear rules our lives.
Inestimable amounts of money are spent annually to provide security. Security? Nonexistent!
The fabulous fifties became the
sexy, sordid, sixties. We walked on the moon. We became gods. Proud, blind gods. The theologian and preacher officiated at
the funeral of God. Free at last! Enraptured, the Supreme Court set our children
free from this repugnant, dead God. Then it freed us from little nuisances.
Almost fifty million to date! For a time it even freed the convicted killer
from death. What great compassion. What great progress. Today, I can even talk
a computer into doing my work. Audibly! But suppose I wanted to pray audibly at
a public school function. Suppression! Oppression!
About 350 years ago, theologians in
events recorded in all sixty six books became highly suspect. By that time,
thousands had come to view the Bible as simply the literature of man. History
had been changed. Truth had become what the mind of man made it to be.
Subjective truth! From this Westcott-Hort Greek text
of the New Testament, and a newly compiled Hebrew text
of the Old Testament, an avalanche of translations into English have come.
Subtle, deliberate changes
in the wording were made in many places, especially those relative to the
person and work of the Biblical Jesus Christ.
Because of these spurious works,
millions regard the Biblical Jesus Christ as simply a human being exactly like
you and 1. The belief system of the vast majority of professing Christianity
has become one of authoritative subjectivity. Thousands of organizations
calling themselves Christian have sprung up in the last two centuries, each
claiming possession of truth. Faith is in "our faith." Christ is who/
what one determines him to be rather than to accept, and submit to, the
Biblical Revelation. Salvation applies only to this life—
"existential." There was no physical resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Many no longer accept, as factual history, that Jesus Christ was an historical
person. Among the Protestant organizations, the Catholic organization, and
among many groups of Baptists, this is the prevailing attitude— truth is
subjective, not real and absolute. It was recently reported that one noted
evangelist in this country of more than fifty years has changed his mind
concerning the reality of a literal hell as is clearly taught in the Bible by
the Biblical Jesus Christ!
In addition to the perversion of the
Scriptures, many thousands of books written by men who loved God and their
fellow men have been secreted away and are kept from the public. Many thousands
of other books have been deliberately destroyed. The entire libraries of some
of these men are locked away in seminary archives, unavailable to those who
come there to study for the "ministry." Why the suppression? Why the
silence?
To silence the voice of the most
powerful and influential person in the history of this world! The Jesus Christ
of the Bible! The Biblical God in flesh who teaches with astonishing authority!
"And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, as of the only-begotten of the
Father, FULL of Grace and Truth."
John 1.14
When His teachings truly enter a
human heart, an eternal change takes place. A literal, spiritual birth happens.
Just as real as physical birth! Grace
has just been applied. A judicial decision has been rendered in heaven—
irrevocable.
The Judge of this universe has
acted. A sinner has just been set free eternally from the penalty of spiritual
and eternal death for sin. The perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ has just
been given to this newly born child of God. The Spirit of the living God has
just brought a dead spirit to life. And will never leave him or her! And also, at physical death. He will transport this person
instantaneously into the presence of the Father in heaven in a glorious
"welcome home!" This is Grace and Truth applied— Historically!
For those of us who have been genuinely saved, truly born of the Spirit (John
1.12; 3.1-12; Titus 3.5; I Peter 1.18-25), Grace and Truth have come into this
world in the person of our Lord, Jesus Christ (John 1.17,18). We know that we
now have eternal life (I John 5.13,20). We know that
we have been " .. freely
justified (judicially declared eternally right in God's sight) by His GRACE
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (not in us— Romans 3.21-28). We
experience the joy of The Spirit of God continually bearing witness in our
spirit that we are the children of God (Romans 8.16). He reveals Himself to us
vividly by giving us spiritual understanding. Spiritual lights continually
blink on to us from His Word. We rejoice! The love of God floods our hearts
(Romans 5.5). He enables us to gaze intently upon His glory (John 1.14) in our
spirits.
For the natural, unregenerate
person, this is an impossibility
(I Corinthians 2.14). Without the convincing power of the
Spirit of God (John 16.8-14), he or she will consider the things which I am
writing to be foolishness. The witness of all those who try to reason
with them from the Scriptures will be rejected. The mind of such a person will
always resort to false religious or false secular reasoning. The natural mind
is notoriously self-worshipping. It is also notoriously religious and
superstitious. Its prideful opinions are authoritative and final. It will
follow a religious lie quite readily, while vehemently rejecting the Biblical
record of eternal salvation by the grace of God through the Biblical Savior,
Jesus Christ. It will also reject the reality of another, malignant person:
Satan, Lucifer, Apollyon, the murderer of the souls
of men, the father of every lie ever told (John 8.44; 10.10).
The attitude of most people today
is one of contempt for the Bible, from subtle to openly hateful belligerence
and ridicule. It is a mindset of rejection irreverence, disrespect, and
intolerance. The cost of contempt is great. " There
is a principle, which is a bar against all information, Which is proof against
all arguments, and which cannot Fail to keep a man in everlasting
ignorance—-that Principle is contempt prior to investigation." Herbert

We hope
that you are not imprisoned by contempt. The Historical evidence of Jesus
Christ is undeniable. His physical resurrection is Historical fact. The
fulfillment of His prophecies, with pinpoint accuracy, in the past century is
undeniable. The prophecies of His spokesmen throughout the Bible pinpointing
many events of the past one hundred years are undeniable. It is hoped that your
mind and heart are open to His testimony.
All of the prophecies of His first coming to earth were fulfilled to the very most minute detail. A Redeemer was needed. The Lamb of God (John 1.29) sacrificed Himself for our sins— all of them. The payment for sin was made. The Father in heaven accepted it. Do you? He rose from the dead in living proof and living truth. To save us from our sins! A perfect sacrifice. A perfect salvation. A perfect Saviour!
To the modern man, religious or
secular, this is fiction, legend, fantasy, myth. Once again, the truth of God
has been changed into a lie (Romans 1.25).
Cheap grace and easy-believism abound. Godly sorrow for sin is nonexistent.
Vain, arrogant, self-righteous pride has swept the world of a
"Christianity" which is cloaked in mock humility. It is godless. It
is, in no respects. Biblical Christianity. It is
humanistic. It is a hypocritical lie, spawned by the father of lies himself. To
say that "I am Christian," while thumbing our noses at the Scriptures
is a deadly, blasphemous insult Hurled into the very face of God.
Today, in the interest of love and
unity, the clear testimony of the Scriptures are
forsaken in a wholesale departure from, and suppression of their teachings. The
spiritual trampling underfoot of the Son of God is occurring full-scale in a
stampede toward a worldwide religion in His name. while
openly teaching that His blood is a common, unholy thing (Hebrews 10.26-29).
This outrageous insult (literal
Greek meaning of despite) to the Spirit of Grace is causing the wrath of the
Lamb (Revelation 6.15-17) to steadily build. This is is
the worst possible sin of rejection by any organization, small or great, which
assembles itself together in the name of Jesus Christ.
For more than three hundred years,
this counterfeit building has been rising from its foundation of sand. Isn't it
ironic that most of the outward show of its thrust began in the 1940's,
coinciding with the most brilliant display of fulfilled prophecy of the
century: that of the nation of
With laser precision, the Scriptures
have foretold the mood, the mindset, and, the behavioral traits of modern man,
both secular and religious. My friend, the great falling away, which is
repeatedly revealed in many of the Scriptures in both Old Testament and New,
has come upon us. This phrase, found in II Thessalonians 2.3, is the Greek word
apostacia. It literally means to stand away from. For
more than 18 centuries, some have stood away. Today, virtually all of
professing Christianity stands boldly, decidedly away from the truth of the
Word of God. To them the plain teachings of the Scriptures must be suppressed
and silenced. They are entirely too controversial and inflammatory. They are
disastrously damaging to the agenda of world unity, love, and peaceful
cooperation among "Christians." "In that day shall seven women
take hold of one man saying, we will eat our own (spiritual) bread and wear our
own apparel (righteousness), only let us be called by thy name to take away
(hide) our reproach." Isaiah 4.1
Their ministers tailor their
teachings to avoid all judgmental statements in order to make them appealing
and socially acceptable to the poor, frail, easily offended listener (ll Timothy 4.3,4)! Never mind the
plain, bold teaching here that their ears will be turned away from the truth
and will be filled with myth. The myth of subjective truth! The prevailing
attitude of today's "Christian" clearly reveals that Paul's prophecy
in this verse is now being fulfilled.
The average citizen of today is
totally unaware of the fact that the lawlessness, the unrest, the fear and
insecurity which plagues us, the perplexity, the
inability to effect a solution to our social problems, lies with our great
departure from truth. Isn't it ironic that the most advanced civilization in
the world's history can do virtually nothing about its growing army of lawless rebels. Down to the very youngest members of society! Daily
the violence increases. Our great social gospel movement of the twentieth
century has miserable failed. Because it was not based in
truth. Truth Himself! John 14.6
The great cause of love and unity
has failed, will continue to fail. It will finally
worship the Antichrist, whose spirit it has. The open teaching and preaching of
the Word of God will soon begin to be persecuted in the most aggressive way.
These seemingly nice people in this movement despise the Grace of God, for to
experience the genuine Grace of God one must repent— the Biblical attitude of
repentance. Anyone who preaches the
gospel of the Grace of God is branded a bigot, an extremist, a radical, a
fanatic, and the worst of them is the Biblical Jesus Christ. He must be
silenced! For His teachings would wreck all of their glorious plans.
However, there are some of us left
who do not share their plans. We have simple, childlike faith in our God. We
agree with Isaiah. "... truth is fallen in the
street and equity cannot enter." Those who "... depart from evil maketh himself a prey." Isaiah 59.14,15
Followers of the Biblical Jesus are
becoming fewer and fewer. Louder and louder the twin trumpets of the secular,
the "Christian" humanists are blown in the land. They are constant
and deafening, subtle and powerful.
Through them Satan is roaring his loudest. He has not much time left!
Neither do they! But the trumpet of the Lord shall
also soon sound. To call the dead and living saints of the ages to our rewards
and the marriage feast of the Lamb! But this spiritually dead, unbelieving
world will not hear it. Shortly all hell will seemingly break out on earth. The
GREAT tribulation (Matthew 24.21,22) will immediately
begin. What a tragic end of the great cause of love and unity.
What is real love? Real unity? Genuine worship of God?
Among others, Four things come to mind:
1 ) Humble respect and reverence for the written Word
of God (II Tim. 3: 16; Psalm 119— the entire Psalm).
2) A genuine desire to daily glorify God with one's life. A
prayerful beginning of each day with our only spiritual Father (Matthew
23.5-10) in the universe. Through the only High Priest there is (Hebrews
4.12-16); the only Mediator there is (l Timothy 2.5). Need a perfect Mediator?
He's here. Need Mercy? It's HERE! At the throne of Grace.
Need Grace instead of justice? HERE! Need help for wisdom in decision-making?
HERE again!
Need self-control to put up with so-and-so today? It, as well as every single
need we have, is at The Throne of Grace! Now, our day will go smooth. Within
us! And maybe around us also, the Lord willing.
"But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in GLORY
by Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4.19. Our Savior cares, "... Who careth for you." I Peter 5.7.
Do you know that the Greek word translated care here means painful attention to
detail? Compared to Him, the intensive care units on earth are less than
nothing! Praise God for His infinitely omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent
care of His children. Yes, we have a loving, kind and Gracious Father and High
Priest, Jesus Christ!
3) A genuine effort to grow spiritually (H Peter 3.18) through personal Bible
study each day (Romans, chapters 6-8; 12.1-3; II Timothy 2.15; II Cor. 3.18).
4) Membership in the type of body (church) which Jesus called out, pastored Himself, and sent forth into the world to
reproduce others just like the one which He built. There are not two types of
bodies of Christ on earth! Ephesians 4.1-6 not only clearly teaches this, but,
for all time, sets the clear standard for Biblical Unity! There were more than
